Orientation 2008 Information

Congratulations on your decision to attend Wayne State University and to join the Honors program! Now that your senior year of high school is coming to a close, many of you have started to look ahead to placement exams, New Student Orientation, and other important details to help you successfully transition from high school to college.
We’re here to help.
You will soon receive your Honors Orientation invitation in our Important Information for Fall 2008 mailing, but if you misplace your copy or do not receive it, you may download it here (link coming soon).
Not all Honors students will be able to attend an Honors session of New Student Orientation. Business, Education, Engineering and Performing Arts majors (music, theatre and dance) are encouraged to attend their specific college orientation.
The adviser at the non-Honors orientation will assist you with your general requirements and help familiarize you with the registration system. You may then review the Honors materials and adjust your schedule from home. Remember that Presidential Scholars, University Scholars, and "Start" program students are required to take HON 1000.
All other Honors students are welcome to register for other Honors sections if one fits in your schedule. If you have any questions, or need to obtain permission to register for an Honors section of a class, please contact us at
honors@wayne.edu.
