Graduating with Departmental/College Honors

Honors studentDepartmental Honors
For departmental honors, you need to complete a minimum of 12 credits in Honors courses, which includes at least one Honors College Seminar and an Honors Thesis (minimum of 20 pages) with a full-time faculty member from your department.

University Honors
To graduate with University Honors you must complete a total of 36 credits in Honors courses, including at least one Honors Seminar, a service-learning course and an Honors thesis. If you are not also completing Departmental Honors, you may complete your Honors thesis with a full-time faculty member of your choosing.

The College of Nursing is discontinuing its policy of guaranteeing WSU Presidential Scholarship recipients admission to Nursing.  The policy will continue for students who were admitted to WSU as Presidential Scholars through Fall 2008.
